Southwest Webs Network Mission Statement

This website is meant for anyone in the Southwest USA who needs a website built and/or Search Engine Optimization done. Southwest Webs Network is based in San Diego, California but has clients all over the USA. My name is Michael Davis. I am the owner of Southwest Webs Network. My mission is to help small businesses get as much business as possible from their online presence. At the risk of sounding like an activist I want to tell you why I do what I do.

I believe that the big corporations have been strangling our economy for way too long. I believe the lifeblood of our nation is in the small businesses. When I see a large corporation like a Walmart come to town and use unethical practices to put the small guy out of business only to then hire people displaced by their practices only to treat them poorly and pay them as little as possible with scant benefits, and send their profits out of the area, I know something has to be done.

When someone opens a small business it puts local people to work and generates a flow of money that goes into the local economy. When you go into a local business, weather it be a shoe store, a small grocer, local bank or any of hundreds of types of small businesses, you are supporting your local area. You are generating a flow of money that stays in your local area and puts local people to work.

There are many people in your area who are better suited to do any of a wide range of businesses than the large corporations. Many times they never get the chance as the large corporations kill off their chances. Let's take the example of WalMart. Many times they go into a local area and then use unethical practices to put the competing small business out of business. Let's say your are the shoe store mentioned above, WalMart will sell their shoes at a loss to be able to get their prices lower than you. They can do that because they are a billion dollar corporation. Once they put the competing shoe stores out of business they then raise their prices.

It's time we stand up and fight for our economy. We NEED more small businesses. I don't know about you, but if I have an issue with a store I like to be able to speak to the owner and know he/she cares about my business instead of speaking to an "agent" who doesn't care and may or may not relay my concerns as I have stated them. With small businesses it is much more likely that you will be speaking to someone who cares. Not only that, but these businesses can make accomodations for my needs. They don't have some corporate board setting policies that they cannot bend.

In all our country is much better off with a good mix of small local businesses along with those corporations that are necessary, like cell phone companies. My mission is to help people get their small business online and get more paying customers from their online presence.
